My mental health is okay. Um not working. I'm able to kind of move freely by my day, but you know, I'm getting bored. I definitely need to do better with having a set schedule. Because even when I was working, like my schedule was that I was doing so many things throughout the day. But yeah, some days I can be so productive. Excuse me, but some days like today, I just kind of excuse me, I gotta I decided to get hit because I started the show. I um it's fine. Yeah, I just some days it's a little just like I sat there, kind of like watch TV, but didn't really do shit. So, you know, it's just I'm just bored. You know, I think that's one of the things I've been reading and just kind of researching and just looking into myself outside of just, you know, getting into my word is just how black women a lot of times we feel like we have to prove why we're resting or, you know, have to always be productive 100% of the day. And it's just like, you know, not having to put clothes on. It's like, okay, I'm just kind of sitting around and not doing nothing. Do I feel like I should be doing something? Yes, but I'm not, you know what? I'm surprised I'm not as hurt as I am that I don't have a job. Because I can't lie, I am enjoying not being around those fucking people. I miss my team that I was on as well than the five, I mean, excuse me, the six of us. But you know, I'm not as tore up as I thought I was gonna be. Um, it's more so just like, damn, I'm just bored all day. But you know, I've been receiving a lot of like my own confirmations, like through the universe, through God, through other people, and just random people, it's gonna all work out. I do believe it is. So I'm just taking it day by day. How's your mental health?

It went really good. Um, my therapist, I mean, I haven't seen my therapist in almost like two weeks. So he was just like, honestly, I don't want to say flabbergas, but I think I think he was very um appreciative of the growth that I've had over these last couple of weeks and about knowing who I am and what I'm going to do and what I'm not gonna accept. That's the key. And you know, me and you have had conversations outside of this podcast, right? Where it's like, not too much, all right? Not too motherfucking much. I got too much shit on my plate. I I'm not, I can't do it. I'm not gonna do it. Don't act, don't, let me tell you something. Unless TJ says, hey, I I got room, you can put that shit on my plate, don't put TJ's name in it.

Well, I'm so glad we have this show. Um, a lot of the times we do talk about serious topics, and this is a serious topic for me. But one thing about black people is we laugh to keep from crying, and I needed a distraction because you're in my close circle, so you know how I feel pain. When you're hurting, I hurt. So I want to give a shout out to, and I'm not gonna say her name, I respect, one of my very best friends, her um, she had a family member that passed away of cancer, and I just dedicate the show to Nicole. Um I pray your soul rests in peace. I pray that you are on the other side. Um, I pray that you, you know, you're not hurting, you're not suffering, you're not in pain, but I do want you to really watch over your family. She comes from an amazing family. Um and I've kind of felt a little down. TJ noticed that because he wanted to cancel, but I was just like, you know what? No, because I need a distraction. Because until I can get my best friend next week, I'm gonna go show my support to the family. I just I've been sad about that all day because cancer, I feel like for whatever reason, and I think it is the food as well as distressors, because it's like we can't eat nothing. We can't afford medication, we can't afford to live, we're not getting paid way. So outside of the food that we're consuming and distressors, just being uh I feel like it's hitting more and more black people in their 30s now. And that's something that I'm not used to seeing. You know, you growing up, we would hear people maybe in their 50s, sometimes 40s, but it was just late 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s that had can now like you're seeing young black, you know, young black people having heart attacks and stroke. Like I just met somebody that just had a stroke at 37 years old, you know. Nicole was young, healthy as an ox. But you just is, you know, I would say I just encourage my people, at least if you can't afford it, or utilize a free health care clinic to get your yearly checkups. You know, sometimes you do, and sometimes shit just still can happen along the way. But just if you feel any slight difference or if you notice something in your body that is not right, please don't get it checked out. If you notice the lump in your breast, if you notice a lump anywhere else, if you just feel more sluggish to use anything, because I go to the doctor about anything. Um yeah, I just I dedicate the show to her and I just want black people to live very long lives. Black people deserve to live long, beautiful lives. And if you do have family members that have cancer or have any type of life militant disease, just make sure you know, make sure that they know that you know that y'all have love for each other, that you love them, they love you, that you get out those last words, last hangouts, because life is too short. So it is very sad to see a young, black, beautiful life just get cut short. But not dedicate this to her. And you know, I send condolences to the family. Like I said, a beautiful family inside it out, and they are hurting.

So, you know, I'm just gonna choose, and again, I've never met her physically, but I feel like I knew her through the phone and through a picture that through stories. So I'm definitely gonna be sure to remember that.

Go get checked out, go to the free if you can't afford it, just like Ashley said, if you have a free clinic, free healthcare clinic, and most of the time, free clinics are usually around big like metro areas and or I mean most cities have like health departments and stuff. Yeah, health departments, yeah. Um, go get checked out, you know, because you you just you just wanna you wanna be aware of what you're going through and oh, okay, well, it's medication for that. Or, you know, do I even need to put on, you know, get medication, or if this is something that I just need to kind of like either lose weight or something like that, or drink more, be more hydrated, you know what I'm saying? Change my diet, switch my diet, right? Not everything requires medication, by the way. You can switch up your diet, you can switch up, yes. Um, so just you know, take care of yourself. And I was in our commented, I said, I know this is a bit parasocial, but seeing like content creators that you grew up with in real time from like Vine to now, and then their parents, it's like uh watching your classmates or your best friends and their kids. It's just like, oh, it was the sweetest little interaction. And his daughter is a freaking doll, baby. Like, and she just was so sweet, and they would just, he was like, I'm so glad you're my daughter, and she got to cry. It was just so heartwarming. So I love you know, these black creators like Mark Phillips, the Alandrias, the Serenas, the, you know, the Mighty Dudes all just finding their own lane. And I think what that shows is there's a lane for everybody. You just gotta find it. It is to be authentically yourself, genuine, and you just have to thrive in just chaos and where you are in your lane. And I think that's important for us too, because granted we've been doing this for like over two years now. I'm still happy about where we are and the eternity that we have.

I love the Latafa, which is the Arabic brands. I love I love um Swiss Arabian, which is their Arabic house. I also love um some single perfumes I love. I love Fenty's Rihanna perfume. That smells amazing on me.

But I'm a perfume girly. So typically once I go out, I always displayer like a body oil. So I'm moisturize with body creams and body oils depending on the season. So it's summer, so I'm usually always oiling up because when I go out, whether I'm going to a club, out and about, or just out in the town, I'm not sweating. So I save body creams and body lotions for the um winter, the fall season, because I'll need more moisture, right? But the oils, I love to seal those with oils. So I always take a shower, exfoliate, put on my body oil. I love the roller-on oils that you get from like the gat, the um beauty supply stores. Yes. I used to online and get them. My favorite is Pink Pussy personally. I go to about 40 of them. I have so many different scents, but I go with the notes. So I go in between, I go in between where my my elbow, like the crevice in the elbow, my wrist, behind my ears, behind my neck, behind my uh knees, and I go my ankles. So I always spray, I always layer and have a perfume combo. I spray on top of those. Now, body mist, I do like body mist. I tend I have they have like about 50 body mist as well. I love body mist. I wear those to sleep because I on and when I go out throughout the day, I always layer a body mist on top of my perfume. But just to wear them on their own, they don't last for a shit. So I usually use that in my hair or my weaves or whatever. I don't do it as much in my weaves like I used to because a lot of those are alcohol-based and now dry your hair out. Correct. So they do have specified, specialized body mists that I do love. Um, body and hair mist that I do love that specialized for hair. But usually I wear body mist and sometimes a perfume to bed. But if you're one to be like a perfume girly on the budget, I'll definitely utilize your stores like your TJ Maxx's, your Burlington, your Marshall's, your Ross, even some of the non-Nay brand stuff in there smells really good. Oh, and I cannot forget the OG perfume house that I used to love. I was a Paris perfume. That Can ain't nothing smell, nothing is touching Can Can. A lot of her perfumes I had as a teenager, so love Paris and perfumes.

Um now if you want like a perfume house or inspired perfumes, I would say check out your dossiers, check out your umchas. There's so many different, I'm gonna have to find y'all a lot of different black-owned oil brands or just oil brands in general, but I love uh brown sugar babe. I have her fantasy boxes. I have the pineapple, I have a blueberry fruit. There's so many different little things out there. But like if you want just a nice, if you want to start off with a nice body oil, the vanilla body oil from Dr. Teals with magnesium is my personal favorite. Okay. If you're a girl that don't like none of that shit and you just want to stick to pure shea butter, there is a website that I will have to find for y'all. I will come with my perfume report next week. But they make all of their shea butters, and I keep one every winter. This is an olive oil-based shea butter with coconut and mango oil. Really, really good. So I love Oh hell yeah. I would say if I had to say my favorite perfume of all time, for old time's sakes, I'ma say Can Can by Paris, because that was my scent. And I hate to say this, but the first Nicki Minaj perfume, my mama kept me loaded with that. She brought me every Nicki Minaj perfume. I think Nicki had like three or four. I can't remember. I had like the light pink hair perfume, the pink, the black, and the gold. But my mama kept me perfume now. And she used to buy me all of the Beyonce Heats.

So my favorite perfume now, if I had to say anything, my go-tos that I typically grab are going to be Yarra La Toffa. It's going to be Fenty. I need to get me some more. I love the pink, the sweet diamond pink pepper from Kaali. And I love the extra dose Valentino born aroma. Anything that is more mind or fruity. I love a vanilla-based perfume. Um and I'm kind of, and I'm kind of the older I'm getting, the more I'm getting getting into spices and florals. But florals are extremely hit and miss for me. I have to smell them. I did I do not buy blind by floral perfumes. I'll blind buy a gourmand or a spicy before I blind by a floral. But yeah, that that's kind of where I'm at scent-wise. But yeah. I always I'm a layerer, so I'm more my whatever moisturizer I'm using, as well as I put some type of concentrated perfume oil on my post points. I go on top of that with my main perfume. My second hair perfume, my body mist, I put my clothes on. Well, I'll have my panties on because I don't need nothing to get in my lady area. But like when I put my clothes on, If you fume on top of my clothes as well. And that's how I go out in the world. That was very intense. I'm sorry.

Now, depending on what body mist you get, you have to be, you can't, you have to research the body mist, right? And you also have to understand the scents, right? Anything with vanilla, bergamot, um, cedar wood, driftwood, those are going to kind of like last. Anything citrus in a body mist, it's not gonna last a long time.

You need to be moisturized, okay? So if you moisturize your neck, moisturize all the points that we're gonna put your fragrance, because it lasts. Never put a body mist or cologne or perfume on dry skin. First, it can irritate it. Second, it just doesn't work as well. So if you're gonna layer something on or put something on, right, make sure your body is um, make sure your body is moisturized first. Second, I would say the body mist, I've already named like the sense that I love for body mist. Um, I would say my favorite um body mist right now is um the Calvin Klein uh line of body mist. This particular time, I think it was me and her, and we went to this party, and we would always like look to see how the basketball players, you know. And a lot of the times it wasn't even because we wanted to talk to them, we said, all right, it's other niggas have been here. Or we will we hung out with some of the girls from the girls' basketball team. There was other black students on campus, other black people that were sparingly in the fraternities or sororities, right? This particular party we had them, uh we hadn't gone to and walk in, and like I told, I did my friend just like this. I said, I put my hand in front of her, I said, stop. We walked in that bitch. Everybody had turned toward us and nothing but why. I said, ooh. I said, uh-uh. We I I said, we're we're leaving. She's like, you want to go? I said, we're fucking leaving now. And I didn't even get through out the door. Because like I said, I put my arm in front of her like I was her man. Was like, oh no. I had a feeling that was so strong, I said, mm-mm. Yeah. And then I remember one time I got invited to a party, and it was just me and this one white girl I was cool with. And let's just say it was a particular crowd. And we both wanted to see what was going on at these parties. Couldn't find out a bunch of white kids doing like hardcore drugs. I'm not talking like just like, well, cocaine is a hardcore drug, but like they was doing some shit. So me and my friend walked in, and she was real cool. We she we walked in, and it's like this big ass house with levels to the house. So each level, it was just kind of getting more nefarious, and she was just, so we linked arms, and she was just like, you can just say the word. I said, Oh yeah, I'll say the word. So we was trying to be cool. We get to the bottom floor, and it was kind of like a full-on orgy, but it seemed like everybody was, oh, it didn't seem like, but everybody just was fucking high. And it just kind of seemed, something about the shit just felt ritualistic, just like something about it just felt so wrong. And I said, we gotta go. She said, I am in agreement with you. And I remember we're trying, like we're going up, we had to go up back to the exit because it was only one way in and one way out. And people are, we get stopped dancing by every person, like, where y'all going? Where but the party's just the fun is just starting. And, you know, the girls were just like, oh, I just threw up. Oh, okay, we'll have fun. So, and I felt like we spent probably an hour trying to leave. I, and I was freaking out, but I didn't let it show my eye like on the inside, my anxiety was so high because I said, I feel like there's a force just trying to keep us here. We tried to leave that bitch for an hour. And when we finally got outside, like I think I started crying because I was just like, bruh, I feel like we couldn't fucking leave. She was just like, I know. So we was in silence walking back to our dorm, but I remember just feeling like, so we was there for all of maybe 45 minutes. I didn't even, and I was so uncomfortable. And you know, this ain't a slight to white women, but this is just what white kids do. White women get fucked up. Like, for my wife ran to be like, she didn't drink either. We both didn't even have a drink. And she was just like, I don't know. I said, me neither. And like I said, we were locked arms. We was, but I remember just feeling like when it was time to go, something was trying to keep us there. We could, everybody was trying to stop and talk to us, like people blocking exits, like we're having to like go around people and sneak out. Like it just was the weirdest fucking thing. And as soon as I touched, I said, thank you, God. And I just I kind of had lost it because I was like, I had never felt something like that in my life. Never felt that way in my life.
